For a long time after its creation, the internet was more of a luxury than a convenience. Only those who could afford pc and modems were able to enjoy the benefits of being connected to the internet. As computer systems become cheaper and more powerful, the amount of items that use the internet has increase exponentially. The internet is no longer considered a convenience by many people, but it is often seen as really a necessity.   However, with all the ever increasing amount of people and devices which can be using the internet, the currently low prices for fast online connections cannot last for very long.

More people are utilizing it
The internet is no longer used by only some wealthy engineers and large companies. Even those on the lowest tax bracket expect to have an internet connection in their home.  With this number of people who are using the internet, there’s more resources used up globally than ever before. The quantity of people that are using the internet is not expected to get smaller any time soon. As the economies in India, China, as well as other developing nations continue to develop, the amount of people using the internet is anticipated to begin growing exponentially.

There is no way the currently low prices of the internet can last forever, but appreciate it while it lasts. Current ISPs allow visitors to download significant amounts of data for very little money, allowing unlimited streaming video and downloads along the way.  Without any restrictions on the amount of data you are able to download, the internet becomes an instrument which may be used for nearly everything.
